EnviTec Biogas in Italy – One Partner, maximum profitability
Aziende Avogadri at a Glance
As early as 2009, the operator of Aziende Avogadri in Soncino, Lombardy, relied on the expertise of EnviTec Biogas S.r.l. Italy. In 2024, entrepreneur Dr. Francesco Avogadri once again commissioned EnviTec Biogas to build a new biogas plant—this time including EnviThan biogas upgrading for the production of 237 Nm³/h of biomethane.
The plant, custom-designed to the customer’s specifications, is designed to be fed with swine manure and cover crops. In addition to substrate pretreatment, a fermenter plus post-fermenter, and the equipment for the digestate storage tank, EnviTec Biogas is providing an oxygen generator and an activated carbon filter system for desulfurization, as well as the entire EnviThan gas treatment system featuring proven membrane technology. The biomethane is fed into the local low-pressure network
Both the biogas plant and the gas treatment system were developed, manufactured, and installed by EnviTec. Azienda Avogadri is one of the leading companies in the Lombardy province of Cremona in the field of pig farming. In addition to pig farming, Avogadri grows a large portion of the feed for its pigs itself. To reduce environmentally harmful CO2 emissions from the production cycle, the company is gradually switching from the use of fossil fuels to renewable energy.
“We believe that having a single point of contact for biogas and biomethane production is crucial to the technical efficiency of the plant and, consequently, to the profitability of the investment.”
